Berlin, 2 September 2020 – We’re announcing today that Partner Daniel P. Glasner is moving to a new role at Cherry Ventures as Venture Partner and Strategic Advisor.
Daniel has been instrumental in building companies for over ten years like Quandoo and CityDeal/Groupon before pivoting his focus to venture capital full time and building Cherry Ventures. We’re incredibly thankful for his contributions over the past few years and are pleased he will remain connected to the firm and our portfolio.
In his new role, Daniel will continue to be a resource for our companies and assist in sourcing deals.
A true “founder first,” Daniel cofounded CityDeal and led the company as chief executive until its acquisition through Groupon (NYSE:GRPN) in 2010. He then became Managing Director of Groupon International. Later, Daniel started several companies, particularly in the local commerce and SaaS space. Most notably, Daniel is a founder of Quandoo, a SaaS company for restaurants that was sold to Recruit Holdings in March 2015.
The Cherry partnership consists of Filip Dames, Christian Meermann, Thomas Lueke, and, most recently, Sophia Bendz, on the investment side and Alexander Langholz-Baikousis as Operating Partner and Chief Financial Officer.
